Rachael Bower

ATE Liaison - Multidisciplinary

Rachael Bower has a background in communications and library science, and brings a deep understanding of issues related to grant creation and stewardship, educational digital projects, and sustainability to her work. Whether in her day job, or as a consultant, she is deeply committed to helping foster collaboration between project partners, supporting development of strong branding and outreach strategies for non-profits, and creating workflow and communication systems that encourage participation and sharing. Rachael has spent most of her career in academia, with a brief foray into the world of start-ups.

Since 2001, Rachael has been a Director of Internet Scout Research Group, a grant funded research and development center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Internet Scout’s focus is to help connect educators, librarians and other interested parties to high-quality online tools and resources through their research, projects and publications. Rachael has been Principal Investigator on a variety of NSF and Mellon awards including Scout’s current ATE Central project – funded through the NSF ATE program.
