John Krupczak is a professor of engineering at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. From 2013-2016 he served as a Program Director in the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation (NSF). His work at NSF included the S-STEM Program, NSF Innovation Corps for Learning (I-Corps-L), Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE); Advanced Technological Education (ATE); and the National Robotics Initiative (NRI). Krupczak was a Senior Fellow of the Center for the Advancement of the Scholarship of Engineering Education (CASEE) of the National Academy of Engineering (2008-2010). Krupczak’s interests include engineering and STEM literacy for non-engineers, improvement of introductory engineering courses, and functional reasoning and system analysis in the context of engineering design. He received a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a B.A. in physics from Williams College.
